FAQs

Your Questions Answered: Quick Insights into Drug & Alcohol Testing Services.

What is a consortium, and do I need to join one?

A consortium is a third-party administrator (TPA) that manages drug and alcohol testing programs. DOT-regulated businesses, including owner-operators, must be enrolled in a compliant program or consortium

Is testing confidential?

Absolutely. All testing is conducted with the highest level of confidentiality and in compliance with HIPAA and DOT privacy standards.

How does your consortium ensure regulatory compliance?

We strictly follow all federal and state guidelines to ensure full compliance with DOT and other regulatory authorities.

What are your hours of operation?

Our standard testing hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Emergency and post-accident testing is available 24/7 upon request.

What is the expected timeframe for receiving test results?

Initial results are typically available within 24 to 48 hours, while confirmatory testing may require an additional 24 to 72 hours.

What happens if an employee tests positive?

Employees who test positive may be referred to a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and offered support through Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs), which include counseling and treatment referrals in accordance with DOT return-to-duty processes.
